The Batman family finally makes it back to the present. Gotham should be waiting for them, same as always. Instead, Japan is gone. In its place a massive island called Hinomoto hangs in the sky right over the city, and nobody down below can do a thing about it. Then you notice who is sitting at the top. The Yakuza run the place, and these are not ordinary gangsters. They have powers. They have no code, no mercy, and faces that look awfully familiar, like someone swapped the Justice League into the wrong uniforms. The Batman family came home expecting a rest. They got a war instead. So Batman and his allies have to climb up there and take it all apart, one crooked boss at a time. But if these thugs are wearing the faces of old friends, who exactly is pulling the strings?
