Eiichirou Maruo has already told his parents he wants to play tennis for a living, and they are not buying it. So he puts everything on one bet: win the All-Japan Junior Tournament, or drop the dream for good. Three months to get good enough. That is the deal. Then his coach Ryuuhei Aoi throws a wrench in the plan and sends him to Florida, of all places. Two weeks at a tennis academy in America, where the players hit harder, move faster, and could not care less that he is the smart kid from Japan. Eiichirou packs his bags. What he finds over there is a game that looks nothing like the one he has been playing at home. Now every day abroad is a countdown to the tournament back in Japan, and every opponent on those courts is a reminder of how far he still has to climb. Can a guy who learned tennis out of a notebook survive two weeks of American grit and come home ready to beat the best juniors in his own country?
