The city of Lungmen is bracing for war. Ursus troops mass at the borders, and Reunion's fighters are already inside the walls. Then Ch'en, the woman who spent years cutting down Lungmen's enemies, walks into Chief Executive Wei Yenwu's office and throws it all away. She is Infected. She is Talulah's sister. The truth lands like a blade on the table, and just like that, the city's finest defender becomes a fugitive with a warrant on her head. She doesn't run far. Ch'en has one thing left to do, and it means hunting down the sister she hasn't seen in years, the one leading the army at the gates. Revenge, justice, something in between: she'll decide when they're face to face. Meanwhile Rhodes Island steps into the middle of a fight that could swallow Lungmen whole. Doctor, Amiya, and Kal'tsit are trying to hold a line that keeps getting thinner, and they know better than anyone that a single wrong move turns the city to ash. But what happens when the person you're chasing is the only family you have left, and the whole city is betting on which one of you burns first?
