A princess with wings locked in a castle, feared by everyone outside its walls. Kanna only wanted two things: to see the world and to find her mother. The soldier Ryuuya tried to give her both. He failed. Magic sealed her into the sky, and the pain never stopped. Generations later, his descendant Yukito drifts into a seaside town a week before the festival, broke and hoping for easy money. A puppet act is how he gets by. Then he meets Misuzu, a strange girl who takes him in, and she starts dreaming of herself floating in the sky with wings on her back. His mother's words come back to him: find the winged girl's reincarnation and set her free. He never expected to find her like this. Yukito and Misuzu grow close, closer than he planned, and the feelings only make it worse. He knows what she is now. He can stay and try to break a curse that has held for centuries, or he can walk away and leave her to it. Can anyone really undo that much pain, or is he just the latest in a long line of people who tried?
