Asahi Kuromine has one job: keep his mouth shut. That is a problem, because Asahi cannot lie to save his life. Every thought he has ever had shows up on his face before he can stop it. So when he finally works up the nerve to confess to Youko Shiragami, the girl he has been quietly crazy about all year, he finds out something that changes everything. She is a vampire. And her father has a rule about that. If anyone learns the truth, Youko has to leave school for good. So Asahi promises to guard her secret with his life. Bold words from a guy whose face basically screams the truth at total strangers. Then the secrets start piling up. More of his classmates are not exactly human either, and somehow Asahi ends up holding every single one of their identities in his very unreliable hands. One slip and all of them are finished. Now he is dodging questions he cannot answer, covering for friends he barely understands, and still trying to get Youko to look at him the way he looks at her. Can the worst liar in school really keep a secret this big?
