It spreads like water, eats dams and old military bunkers, and the government seals off the entire research city that was supposed to be humanity's big hope. Two years later, Aiko Tachibana is still in recovery. Paper planes, school, medical checks. Then a transfer student named Yuuya Kanzaki starts asking strange questions. Why does she never get hurt? Why did she stop needing her wheelchair overnight? He tells her the story she grew up with is a lie, and that the answer is inside her own body. The only place to find the rest of it is the Primary Point, the crater where the Burst began. So Aiko and Yuuya head into the forbidden zone with a team of divers in organic suits, the only people who can survive out there. Mercenaries want her. Task forces want the Matter stopped. Something else is closing the net. What exactly was Aiko rescued from?
