Himeno is a centaur, which means she has to squeeze her horse half through classroom doors every morning. She is sweet, painfully shy, and the hardest working student in her school, so everyone likes her. Her closest friends are Kyouko and Nozomi, and the three of them fill their days with nonsense: hanging out between classes, joking around, killing time. It looks like an ordinary school comedy, except that angels, demons and monsters sit in the same room, and nobody finds that strange at all. Then the show quietly turns the corner. Behind the ordinary routine, this world hides its own rules about who belongs and who does not, and those rules have teeth. Kyouko starts asking questions other people would rather leave alone, and her questions rub up against something uncomfortable. Himeno would much rather keep things light, but her friends do not always let her. The three of them are still together, still laughing in the hallways, while something heavier slowly gathers underneath. Will Himeno manage to keep her easygoing days, or is the world her school prepared her for a much colder place?
