Yan Yuechu just wanted a quiet life back in his hometown. A boring job, decent coworkers, nothing weird. Then a rainy night out for drinks with Hu Zhi sends them ducking into the only open door around: a building that houses XY, an escape room with a nasty reputation and an owner nobody can quite explain. They play anyway. One hour, a maze of odd little rooms, riddles that don't sit right. They beat the clock. Easy. Except the game doesn't end when they walk out. Scraps of the owner's past are tucked into those rooms, and those scraps follow Yan Yuechu home. The next morning there's a letter waiting for him: stay away from escape games. No signature worth trusting, no straight answers from Xu Aiyou either. That night he dreams he has to solve a puzzle just to get out of his own bedroom. He wakes up. Probably a dream. Probably. Now he can't tell where the real room stops and the game starts, and every step closer to Xu Aiyou drags up another impossible incident. Somewhere under all of it are memories of his own that he doesn't remember losing. If he figures out what XY really is, will he get those memories back, or is that exactly what someone has been waiting for him to try?
