Takashi has a secret he can't tell anyone, and he was supposed to slip out of his boring school life into another world altogether. Two things keep pulling him back: Kobato, his clumsy little sister, and Asuka, his girlfriend who never seems to worry about a thing. Then there's Shuusuke, broke and crashing wherever he can, hopping between part-time jobs. His first meeting with Hiyoko goes about as badly as it possibly could. Turns out they end up working side by side anyway. And Hayato calls himself hard-boiled, takes the heaviest jobs without blinking, keeps people at arm's length, and spends his nights around delinquents and other creatures of the dark. That's where Naru finds him, cheerful and completely unaware of what she's walked into. Three guys, three girls, and every one of these connections is about to change everything. So what exactly ties these young men to each other?
