Violence Jack: Slumking
The Kanto Hell Earthquake didn't leave a city behind. Just rubble, dust, and a wasteland where the strong take whatever they want. Mari walks through it alone, city after broken city, searching for Kenichi. She never finds him. Slavers find her first, and she disappears into the trade run by the Slum King, a man who owns this ruin like a personal kingdom. Then Kenichi shows up. He's not the man she remembers. He works for the king now, one of his men, close enough to see what's being done to her. He breaks the rules and pulls her out anyway. The king doesn't punish him. He makes an offer: walk away free with the girl, or stay and put a blade in Violence Jack, the madman cutting a path through everyone, guilty or not. Kenichi has one job now. Mari is alive because of it. So what does he do when the only way to keep her is to go kill a monster who might be the only thing standing between this hell and something worse?
