Episode 6 · Vandread

Vandread

Hibiki spends his days on an assembly line, bolting together combat robots he will never get to pilot, while the guys around him laugh at his big talk. So one night he snaps and tries to swipe a mech for himself. It goes badly. Very badly. He winds up trapped on a Taraakian battleship just as female pirates from the other planet storm aboard and seize the whole vessel. Then the men on the Vanguard panic and open fire on their own captured ship. The shots tear open a wormhole, and it swallows the battleship along with the pirates' vessels, dragging both crews across the galaxy, far from Taraak and Mejere and the war they grew up hating each other over. Now these men and women are stuck on the same decks, and they need each other to survive. Which is a problem, because they were raised to believe the other side is not even human. Can Hibiki and the pirates find a way home before they kill each other first?
