Shinichirou shares a roof with Hiromi, the smartest girl in his grade, and every guy at school would trade places with him in a heartbeat. They don't see what he sees. At home she barely speaks to him, and the cold look she gives him is nothing like the bright smile she wears in class. Then he meets Noe. She curses people, and the curses come true, so he keeps his distance until he doesn't. When she curses him, the bad luck lands on her instead: her pet chicken Raigomaru gets taken by a raccoon. She doesn't cry. Not one tear. Noe gave her tears away a long time ago, and getting them back means taking someone else's. Shinichirou already has a person in mind. Meanwhile Hiromi lives in his house like a stranger, and every attempt to reach her goes nowhere. He wants her tears. Noe needs them. So which one of them ends up hurt when he decides to go through with it?
