Toradora!
Ryuuji has a gentle streak and a face that scares people. He cleans, cooks, keeps his house running. Nobody at school sees that. They see a delinquent. Then there is Taiga: tiny, doll-like, swinging a wooden katana, known everywhere as the Palmtop Tiger. One awkward mistake throws them together. Ryuuji finds out she is crushing on his best friend Yuusaku. Taiga finds out he is in love with Minori, her own best friend. So she sneaks into his apartment at night to knock the memory out of his head. That plan dies fast. Instead they make a deal: two hopeless cases helping each other get what they want. Not dating, just tactics. But spending every day chasing other people's hearts has a way of turning things upside down. If the person you want is standing right in front of you, how long does it take to notice?
