One loss broke Nagisa Aragaki. A 21-0 wipeout at the national juniors turned the thing she loved into something that hurts, and now she runs her high school badminton club like a punishment camp. Members cry through her drills. Some just quit. New kids take one look and keep walking, and the team is bleeding players fast. Then Kentarou Tachibana walks in as the new coach, an Olympic-level player with a plan. His secret weapon is Ayano Hanesaki, the girl who handed Nagisa that 21-0 beating six months ago. Only Ayano is not the killer rival Nagisa remembers. She is quiet, she wants nothing to do with badminton, and Kentarou has to keep pushing just to get her through the gym door. So now Nagisa has to face the girl who broke her, every single day, while her own fear of never being good enough sits right there on the court. One of them is running from the sport. The other cannot let go of it. Can two people this messed up really drag a dying club all the way to the top?
