Kantarou grew up seeing things other kids couldn't. Demons, spirits, things with too many teeth. The other children made sure he paid for it, so he stopped trying to fit in and started talking to the monsters instead. They turned out to be better company anyway. Then someone told him about the strongest one of all: the ogre-eating Tengu. A demon that eats other demons. Kantarou, still young and not great at thinking things through, decided on the spot that he would find it, name it, and keep it. He picked the name Haruka right then, before he'd even laid eyes on the thing. Years passed. He grew up, wrote folklore books, took odd jobs exorcising demons to pay rent. No Haruka. Until one job drops a lead: a shrine nearby, supposedly the place where the ogre-eating Tengu got sealed away a long time ago. Kantarou heads there with his hopes up. But what exactly did someone seal inside that shrine, and what happens when the strongest demon alive wakes up to a stranger smiling at him and calling him by a name he never chose?
