Tsubasa and Kanade sing on stage as Zwei Wing, and their songs are weapons. Not metaphors. The Noise, a faceless alien swarm that erases anything it touches, gets torn apart by the sound of their voices, and the crowd has no idea the two idols standing in the spotlight are the only thing keeping them alive. Then the Noise hit the venue mid concert. Kanade pushes a girl named Hibiki out of the way and does not walk out of it. A piece of her gear stays behind, buried in Hibiki's chest, and Tsubasa is left to perform alone. Two years later Hibiki is just trying to live a normal life. That ends when the Noise come back, she runs toward a kid everyone else abandoned, and the fragment inside her wakes up. Now she can fight too. Problem is, Tsubasa wants nothing to do with the girl carrying her dead partner's power, and the two of them have to figure out how to stand on the same stage before the Noise finish what they started. Can Hibiki really carry a song that was never meant for her, or will it cost her everything the way it cost Kanade?
