Hachiken survived his first year at Ooezo Agricultural High School, and by now the place almost feels normal. Morning barn chores, muddy boots, a puppy that needs training. Then the school hands him the vice-president spot in the Equestrian Club, which proves the teachers and students actually want him around. Fine. Except Maron, the horse, has his own opinion about who is in charge, and it is not Hachiken. The new semester does not slow down. There is the Ooezo school festival to survive, and the freshmen battle, where first-years go at each other with everything they have got. Between all that he still has to figure out what he actually wants to do with his life, a question everyone around him seems to have already answered. He keeps working, keeps failing, keeps getting back up next to his friends. But can a kid who ran away from his old school really find a dream worth staying for out here in the countryside?
