A hundred years pass inside a seal, and Shi Dali sleeps through every one of them. When he finally claws his way out, the world he knew is gone. Then he bumps into Qingqing, a celestial nine tailed fox, and nothing about his quiet escape goes the way he planned. That chance meeting drags him onto a much harder road. To become Chief Soul Master he has to fight his way up, and the higher he climbs the more the questions pile up: where did he actually come from, and why was he locked away for a century in the first place? The power he is chasing could also be the thing that tears the world apart. He wants answers. He wants to protect people. Those two things may not fit together. So who put him in that seal, and what happens when the fox he stumbled onto turns out to be more than a random encounter?
