Brother Xianyu is living the dream on Yushen Island. Sun, sea, and absolutely nothing to do. That is the whole point. Then a crew of gods from the Nantianmen Group shows up on his beach asking about some stolen divine tablets, and the lazy days are gone just like that. Here is the strange part. The longer these gods poke around, the more the island's own secrets start spilling out. Everyone has heard whispers about the Fish God and about Seren, but nobody ever expected Xianyu of all people to trip over the truth. He did not go looking for it. It just landed in his lap, the way everything seems to. Now old grudges between species are bubbling up, and neighbors he has known his whole life are looking at each other sideways. So a guy who has spent his entire existence avoiding trouble has to figure out what to do about gods, prejudice, and a mystery that keeps getting bigger. Knowing him, he will handle it his own way.
