Episode 2 · Sadamitsu the Destroyer

Sadamitsu the Destroyer

Tsubaki Sadamitsu runs the Corpse Gang, a pack of schoolyard toughs who answer to him and nobody else. Then a robot falls out of the sky. Not a toy, not a prank: an alien machine that picks him, of all people, to hunt down escaped criminals called the Exiled Ones. One fight, one bargain, and the toughest kid in school is working for something that is not even from this planet. Here is the catch. The Exiled Ones are not petty crooks. They are intergalactic fugitives, and the robot expects a teenage delinquent to bring them in. That would be bad enough, except a second force shows up: the Vulture, a desperate last line meant to keep the Exiled Ones from slipping loose. Is it on his side, or is it here to clean up the mess he keeps making? So now he has to hide a war from his teachers, keep his gang from asking questions, and survive things that crush buildings. Every fight he wins seems to make the next one bigger. How long can a guy with nothing but his fists and a borrowed robot stay ahead of a hunt that was already lost before he joined?
