Everybody has a videophone and the internet never drops. That is just daily life now. Somewhere in the middle of all this convenience, the government got sloppy with its national data archive, and a hacker walked right in. He doesn't sell what he finds. He builds a website instead, the Platonic Chain, and it will tell you things about yourself and the people around you. Anything at all, supposedly. Word gets around fast. Then three girls, Hitomi, Rika and Kanae, stumble onto the site. Ordinary kids, nothing special about them, except now they can type in a name and pull up secrets nobody ever meant to share. Maybe their own. Maybe their friends'. It is all sitting there, just a few clicks away, and none of them can unsee it. How well do you really know the person sitting next to you, and would you still want to find out?
