Hiyori finally starts high school, and she has it all mapped out: new friends, a fresh reputation, maybe even a little romance. Then Yato crashes the first day. Being a delivery god means he has to make himself known, and subtlety is not his thing. By the time he is done, Hiyori's grand debut has turned into something else entirely, a mix of recklessness and charm she never asked for. Will she ever live this down, or is this just what life with a stray god looks like? On a calmer afternoon she decides the weather is too nice to waste and invites everyone to look at the cherry blossoms. Bishamon shows up too, along with her sacred weapon. So does Yato, and someone brings sake. It takes about five minutes for the two old rivals to start drinking together, and nobody in the group is sure whether that is better or worse than a fight. The picnic was supposed to be peaceful. How long can a day like this really last before something gives?
