Sakura can see ghosts. Rinne is broke, dead broke, and he happens to be a death god who spends more time hunting bounties than studying for exams. Together they keep getting dragged into other people's supernatural messes. This time the mess starts with a cat: Ageha's black cat Oboro is convinced his owner treats him terribly, so he demands she tear up their contract. She says no. What follows is a full-blown war between a teenage girl and her own familiar. And the cat is the small problem. The Damashigami Company is still running its shady schemes, and a bat-like demon named Masato has been waiting a long time for a shot at Rinne. He is not about to let it go. So Sakura and Rinne bounce from one spirit crisis to the next, patching things up, chasing down trouble, and never quite getting a quiet afternoon. Rinne still has rent to worry about. Sakura still has school. The dead never really give them a day off. Will Rinne ever climb out of debt, and how many enemies can one poor death god make before it catches up with him?
