Ashleen lost everything to a war she never asked for. Muzaka, the lord of the werewolves, pulled her out of the wreckage and then did the unthinkable: he walked away from his own clan to keep her safe. Just the two of them, on the road, no throne, no duties. Then the pack turned. Muzaka's own kind hated that he'd rather protect one human girl than lead them, so they kept feeding the fires of war. And behind all of it sits the Union, whispering lies into his ear. By the time Muzaka points his rage at the humans, it's not even his rage anymore. It belongs to someone else, someone who wants him gone. Only one person can reach him now. Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, the Noblesse, the friend who has stood beside him through everything. But what do you do when the person you're trying to save has already decided the whole world is his enemy? And what happens to Raizel if he fails?
