Yuu, Haru and Kotona are just three friends killing time in high school, until a stranger with a knife changes everything. The boys try to get Kotona to a hospital. A truck comes out of nowhere. They should be dead. They aren't. Instead they wake up somewhere else, a kingdom out of a storybook, full of strange people and stranger creatures. And Yuu, who has spent his whole life in a wheelchair, stands up and takes a step. He can walk. No time to think about it, because Kotona is still missing. They start asking around, and in a pub someone shows them a picture of the princess, Asha. What they see in that picture stops them cold. Now two worlds are tangled together in a way nobody can explain, and every answer costs them something. What exactly is the bond between Yuu and a princess he has never met?
