His dad walks out. His mom ends up in a hospital bed, and eleven year old Wataru is left standing in the wreckage of a life that suddenly makes no sense. Then his new friend Mitsuru shows him a door. Not a metaphor, an actual door, and behind it is a world of magic and monsters where a person can march up to the Goddess of Destiny and demand a do over. So Wataru steps through, because what else is he supposed to do. He picks up companions along the way, fights things he never imagined, and keeps telling himself he is only there to fix one mistake. But the road to the Goddess is not a straight line, and every comrade he gathers has a reason of their own for walking it. What happens when you finally reach the one who decides fate, and she asks what you are willing to trade for the life you want back?
