A teenage cartoonist sits at his desk, staring at a blank page. The deadline is creeping closer and his head is empty. So he goes out looking for inspiration and comes back with two pets instead: a cat called Emperor and a dog called Bazaar Black. Here is the twist. The cat runs the place. Emperor clearly believes the apartment belongs to him and the boy just pays the rent, while Bazaar Black follows the cat around like a loyal henchman. They knock things over, ruin his drawings, and turn every quiet workday into chaos. Still, the boy calls them family, because they fill his days with something he was missing. But if the cat truly hates him, why is Emperor always the first one waiting at the door?
