Junpei Kousaka can't stand cats. His eyes water, his nose runs, and he'd cross the street to avoid one. So of course his crush Kaede is obsessed with them, his family dotes on them, and his childhood friend never shuts up about them. He's basically living in enemy territory. Then one afternoon he kicks an empty can down the street, misses the trash completely, and knocks the head clean off a stone cat statue. That night a cat starts talking to him. So does every other cat in town. A curse from a feline god, apparently, and his own cat Nyamsus lays out the deal: do one hundred good deeds for cats or turn into one. Keeping it quiet matters too. Tell anyone and they get clumsy, jinxed, dragged into the same mess. Which is rough when Kaede keeps inviting him to feed strays and his secret keeps slipping. One hundred favors. Cats don't exactly make it easy. What happens when he loses count?
