In a town called Lindworm, humans and monsters finally stopped killing each other and moved in side by side. That is where Dr. Glenn Litbeit runs a tiny clinic. His nurse, Saphentite, is a lamia: half woman, half snake, and she never leaves his side. A centaur with a cracked hoof, a mermaid who cannot breathe right, a dullahan whose head will not stay put. Glenn treats them all with the same steady hands, no matter how strange the case gets. Then someone decides to rob one of his patients. Not a monster hunter, not a soldier. Just some shady guy with sticky fingers and no manners. A doctor is supposed to heal people, not chase criminals. Glenn is polite, soft-spoken, and about as threatening as a cup of tea. So what does a gentle physician do when the sick woman under his care gets robbed, and the trail leads somewhere he never expected?
