Out in a quiet corner of a small town there is a little diner. By day, nothing special. Just a counter, a few stools, the smell of cooking. Then night falls and the place changes: the customers who push through the door are ghosts, spirits, monsters. Taozi runs it, and she comes from a long line of chefs. Funny thing is, humans can't stand her cooking. Only the monsters love it. So the diner stays small and hidden, open late, serving dishes that would look bizarre on any normal menu. The monsters have rules about not bothering people, and most of them keep to it. They just want a good meal in peace. Taozi cooks for them like it's the most natural job in the world, one plate after another, night after night. But why is it that her food only works on things that go bump in the night? And what happens if a regular human ever sits down at that counter and orders something?
