Takeshi Nanase is just a high schooler with a fake girlfriend and a dark spot in his past he does not talk about. Then one morning he walks past a girl collapsed near campus, wearing a uniform he has never seen before. He helps her. She wakes up, panics, and zaps him into a magician. Her name is Mui Aiba, and sorry is all she can really offer. Turns out the world is split in two: regular people on one side, magic users on the other. Most magicians just want to live quietly. The Ghost Trailers want something else entirely, and they are happy to hurt humans to get it. Takeshi and his friends Kurumi and Kazumi sign up at Subaru Magic Academy, each chasing something different. Escape a past. Catch a future. Learn to aim before someone dies. Now the Trailers are hunting them, and the big war everyone keeps whispering about is creeping closer. Can three teenagers get strong enough in time, or is the fight already lost?
