Weekend rides with Aoi, her childhood friend, and Hinako, a senior, become her new routine. Someone tells her a road bike could change how she sees everything. So she gets one. The first push on the pedals hits different. The lightness, the speed, the way the ground flies past. Ami is hooked, and her quiet weekends turn into something bigger when she and four classmates put together a cycling team called Fortuna. Their goal: the long distance marathon known as Lightning. Training is not cute photo ops and snack breaks. Legs burn, mornings come too early, and the marathon is a long way off. Can five beginners hold it together long enough to even reach the start line?
