Lily Bridge rolls into Arkham City with a notebook and a nose for a story, expecting the usual crooked politicians and petty scandals. What she gets instead is a town where the weird stuff barely raises an eyebrow. A giant robot called Demonbane is the only thing anyone bothers to whisper about. Then she picks up a tiny mechanical part, and it traces straight back to the Hadou Combine, the corporation that seems to have its fingers in everything. That little scrap of metal changes her plans fast. She wants the whole truth now, not just a byline. Trouble is, the closer she digs, the less the city looks like a place where reporters ask questions and sources answer them. Demonbane is tangled up in this too, and so are the people who really run Arkham. Lily thinks she is chasing a scoop. What has she actually walked into?
