Episode 3 · Kagewani

Kagewani

A video blogger fakes monster sightings for clicks. His crew gets torn apart by something that does not care about cameras. On another campus, students are running from a sandworm thing that came up through the ground, and the school gates are no help at all. Researcher Sousuke Banba starts digging into these attacks. His only lead is the word Kagewani. He walks the sites where people died, looking for anything, and the deeper he goes the more it smells like someone does not want him there. A drug company called Sarugaku keeps showing up where it should not be. Are they studying the creatures, or are they feeding them? The monsters are not random. Something connects the blogger, the school, and the labs. Banba just cannot see it yet. And when the thing that keeps eating people might be closer to his own life than he thinks, who exactly is he supposed to trust?
