A year has passed since Shiro vanished. Kurou and Neko have spent every one of those months chasing whispers, and they have nothing to show for it: no trail, no sign, no Silver King. Then, on an ordinary day, they stumble onto something else entirely. Anna and Rikio, the last scraps of the broken Red Clan, are running for their lives. Someone wants Anna, and they want her badly. The Green Clan has its eye on her strange power, the same power that might be the only way to track Shiro down. Scepter 4 gets dragged in, old grudges and all, and suddenly everyone is fighting over one small girl and a throne that no longer has a king sitting on it. The Green Clan isn't just hunting. They're moving in on the Gold King's territory, and nobody seems strong enough to stop them. Can a dog, a cat, and a pack of cops really save Anna and find Shiro before the whole balance between the clans comes crashing down?
