One second Yuusuke is a regular high school kid nursing a hopeless crush on Natsumi. The next, a girl with a halo drops out of the sky right in front of him, bare as the day she was born and grinning like nothing happened. Her name is Noelle, and she is training to become an angel. She also has nowhere else to go. So Yuusuke moves in with her family, and that is where things get weird. Papa is a Frankenstein monster who does calisthenics before breakfast. Mama swoons over anything round. Sara, the oldest sister, is invisible. Gabriel, the brother, is a teenage vampire with a permanent chip on his shoulder, and little Ruka keeps building contraptions that explode. Grandma is a full-on witch with a vulture for a pet, and she makes no secret of the fact that she cannot stand Yuusuke. All he wanted was for Natsumi to look his way once. Instead he has an angel-in-training attached to him at all times, plus a mysterious guy named Michael hovering around Noelle. Nobody explains why Michael keeps showing up. Nobody explains what Noelle actually has to do to earn her wings. And Yuusuke still cannot get Natsumi to notice him. So who is really pulling the strings here?
