Magic replaced science after the old tech collapsed, and humanity built its own monsters. The Gears were supposed to be weapons. Then they turned on their makers, and the war that followed cost so many lives that people still flinch at the name decades later. Sin Kiske is half human, half Gear. He is on his way to watch his parents, Ky and Dizzy, finally get married. A human and a Gear, together at the altar. That union was forbidden for years, and the world needed a long peace before anyone could even say it out loud. Guests gather. Blessings are given. Then a girl nobody invited walks in, and she hates Gears with everything she has. Two bloodlines collide at a wedding meant to heal old wounds. One carries Gear blood as a birthright. The other wants that blood erased. What happens when the child of fate meets the girl who despises everything he is?
