Ban Mido and Ginji Amano run their own retrieval business. Lose a necklace, get it stolen, whatever: they find it and hand it back. Their success rate is a clean one hundred percent, and they have the powers to back that up. They are also dead broke, every single month. Nobody thinks to hire the guy who can electrocute a room or the one with the evil eye, so they take the jobs nobody else wants, the ones with knives and guns and people who hold grudges. Then the past walks back in. Old friends turn up, and they are not friendly anymore. Ban and Ginji know things about each other that could get them both buried, and every dangerous job drags more of it into the open. The two of them bicker, split up, get beaten half to death, and somehow keep going. The question is simple: how long can two guys with a perfect record keep taking jobs that were designed to kill them?
