A letter shows up in Toki Mishiba's mailbox. Inside is a promise of serious cash for playing a game, and he almost tosses it. Then he catches the fine print: the organizers won't guarantee players' safety. That one line is what sells him. Soon he's standing next to Nobuto Nakajou and Kazuo Saitou, two strangers who happen to be his new teammates in something called the Biz Game. Real streets, real weapons, no reset button. The three of them, calling themselves No Name, are thrown into fights with other teams over a data disk stuffed with corporate secrets. Steal it or hold onto it. Either way, someone gets hurt. The alliance between them is shaky at best, held together by nothing but hunger for an absurd amount of money, and each of them has a private reason for needing that payout that he hasn't shared with the others. A corporation sits somewhere behind all of this, pulling strings and paying for the bruises. Three guys who barely trust each other, one disk, and a stack of cash waiting at the end. So what exactly pushed each of them to sign up for a game where getting hurt is part of the deal?
