Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness
Nagomu Irino spent his childhood in his grandfather's little sweet shop in Kyoto, and he loved everything about it. Then he walked away and chased music instead. Ten years later he came back, because his father ended up in a hospital bed. The shop already had an heir, though. A ten year old girl named Itsuka, left behind at Ryokushou by her own father, and she is not about to hand the place over to some guy who vanished for a decade. She runs the counter, knows every regular by name, and still keeps her eyes open for any trace of the man who abandoned her. Then Nagomu's mother asks him to do something strange: act as the girl's father. So now a failed musician makes sweets beside a kid who outranks him, and neither of them wants to give an inch. She's serious, he's a mess, and both of them care about the same shop and the same wagashi more than they'd ever admit. Slowly, something shifts. Can two people this stubborn really become a family?
