Nine kids in one house, all of them royalty, all of them able to bend the world in some small way. Their father, the king, just wants them to live like ordinary children, so he lines the whole town with security cameras. Two thousand of them. Every meal, every argument, every awkward stumble gets filmed for the country to watch. And that is before the part everyone forgets: one of these nine will take the throne, chosen by a public vote. Now the twist. For Akane, the third eldest, the cameras are not protection. They are the problem. She can warp gravity with a thought, and yet she cannot stand a single lens pointed at her face. Millions of strangers tune in to judge her, and she just wants to disappear into her own floor. So she lands on a plan: win the election, become queen, and tear every last camera down. One catch. To win, she has to talk to people. A lot of them. Out loud. In front of everyone. Her brothers and sisters are out there making speeches and shaking hands, and Akane can barely get a sentence past her own front door. How do you convince a whole nation you should rule them when you cannot even look them in the eye?
