Blue Reflection Ray
Ruka Hanari just wants to talk to people. Her shyness keeps slamming that door shut, every single time. Then a stranger rushes past her and a blue ring clatters to the ground. The woman is gone before Ruka can call out, so the ring goes back to the dorm with her. That is where she meets Hiori, loud, easygoing, and already wearing one of those rings on her own hand. Soon the two of them are fighting red-ringed Reflectors, kids who rip fragments of grief out of people to stop the pain from spreading. Meanwhile the blue rings guard those fragments instead, and Ruka and Hiori keep getting pulled into the middle of it. Blue against red. Two girls against people who swear they are doing the right thing. Ruka still stumbles over her own words, and the ring on her finger seems to want something from her she is not sure she can give. Can someone who cannot even say hello to a classmate really save anyone from their own despair?
