Keiichirou Tachibana is the best salesman his company has, so of course he quits. He rents a little storefront and decides to open a French-style bakery instead. Flipping through résumés for a head patissier, he stops cold at one name: Yuusuke Ono. The same Yuusuke who confessed to him back in high school and got shot down so hard it still stings to remember. He hires him anyway. Because the guy is a genius with dough and cream, and also because something about him pulls people in, men and women both, straight guys included, right into his bed. Then Eiji Kanda shows up, a boxer whose body gave out before his career really started, and he throws himself into pastry like it might save him. Tachibana's old friend Chikage rounds out the crew, loyal to the family until the very end. The bakery takes off. Regulars, fame, the whole thing. But each of them is carrying something they don't talk about, and the owner is the worst of all. He still has the nightmares. They go back more than twenty years. What exactly happened back then that he can't shake?
