Summer is almost over in Yomiyama City, and Misaki Fujioka comes to see her twin sister Mei. The two of them have lost time to make up for, split apart as kids by family mess, and now they spend the last hot days poking around a half-empty shopping center, a shooting stall, anywhere with shade and something to do. In Mei's basement, with the fan humming, she mentions her new class and the rumor that hangs over it. She doesn't laugh it off. She looks like she wants to change the subject.
