Two years have passed since Aoi and Kaoru broke free from their families. They still share the same roof. Kaoru is grinding through grad school now, buried in books and deadlines, while the house around him stays as loud as ever. Tenants argue over dinner, someone breaks something, someone else laughs too hard. Aoi just smiles and keeps the place running. Quiet, steady, always near him. Then the calm starts to crack. Everyone around them is moving forward, making choices, drifting or digging in, and the question of what Aoi and Kaoru actually are to each other refuses to stay buried. Friends mean well. Some of them mean a little too much. Between late nights, jealous glances, and the weight of a promise neither of them says out loud, the life they built starts to feel less like a home and more like a test. Kaoru can handle exams. He can handle the noise. What he can't seem to handle is the one thing that has been sitting right next to him this whole time. And with so many people pulling them in different directions, how long can two people keep pretending that nothing needs to change?
