Konomi Yuzuhara just finished middle school, and she's picked her next one for one simple reason: Takaaki Kono, her childhood friend, goes there. She's the sunny, wide-eyed type, and he still treats her like a kid sister. Then the school year starts and Tamaki Kosaka walks back into their lives, the old friend who never quite stopped acting like everyone's big sister and isn't shy about saying so. Here's the thing. None of them have any idea what they've just walked into. The three of them plus a whole crowd of new faces keep crossing paths in the hallways, and every one of those run-ins plants a seed nobody notices yet. So what happens when a girl who followed one boy to school, a boy who sees her as family, and a friend who bosses them both around end up in the same building day after day?
