Slice of Life2017DiomedéaRating 6,613+HD

Mikan Kise just wanted her little sister Yuzu to see Kamidaio, the most famous local heroine in the country, live on stage in their tiny town of Hinano. Then the show gets canceled. Yuzu is crushed, and Mikan, who cannot stand that look on her face, makes a promise she has no idea how to keep: you will see Kamidaio. Her classmate An Akagi worships Kamidaio and can actually pull off the moves, so Mikan talks her into putting on a show of their own. Homemade costumes, wobbly choreography, zero budget. The kids in the audience eat it up anyway. Here is the twist. Misaki Shirogane, the student council president, films the whole thing and posts it online. She comes from a family of politicians and has decided it is her personal mission to drag Hinano back to life. Their scrappy little performance is exactly the spark she was looking for, and suddenly Mikan and An are not just filling in for a canceled show. They are the town's official heroines, with a reputation to build and a growing crew of oddballs helping them do it. Can a couple of students with handmade props really bring a dying town back, one show at a time?
