Five portals tear open across the globe, and nobody gets a warning first. They call them Black Points. Out of them pour creatures from parallel worlds, and here is the part that makes your head spin: these worlds are all the same place, just at different points in time. Each invading force is fighting to make sure its own future is the one that survives. That means every other version of tomorrow has to go. Caught in the middle is Earth, and humanity's only shot is a device shaped like a card. The people holding those cards are the ones standing between the invasion and total erasure, but the cards are not exactly a clean solution. The invaders are not mindless monsters either. They are soldiers, defending a future they believe in, and they will burn everything down before they let it disappear. So when the holders of the keys step up to fight, whose tomorrow are they actually protecting?
