In Domino City, everyone plays Duel Monsters. Two duelists, two thousand life points each, and a deck full of monsters. Shougo Aoyama is not one of the brave ones. He is a nervous kid who happens to own the Red Eyes Black Dragon, a card said to hand victory to whoever is courageous enough to actually use it. So he waves it around and brags. That is all he does with it. Word travels fast. Seto Kaiba hears a legendary card is sitting in the hands of some scared boy, and he wants it. He also wants Yuugi Mutou, his favorite rival, in the same room. So he sets up a tournament and invites them both. Yuugi and Katsuya Jounouchi step in to teach Shougo how to actually duel, not just talk. Easy enough, except every match costs life points, and Shougo is terrified of losing. Can a kid who has never really fought keep his dragon, his nerve, and his deck when Kaiba is sitting across the table?
