Logan has three claws in each hand, a healing factor that shrugs off bullets and poison, and one soft spot: Mariko, a Japanese woman he fell for in New York. Then she vanishes. No note, no trace, nothing. A year later he finds out who took her. Her father. Shingen Yashida runs Kuzuryu, the biggest crime outfit in Japan, and he dragged his own daughter back to Tokyo to marry her off to Hideki Kurohagi, the man in charge of Madripoor, that island where the world's gangs are building their own country. Shingen gets international reach. Kurohagi gets money. Mariko gets no say in any of it. So Logan flies to Tokyo with nothing but his claws and a bad plan, ready to tear through anyone standing between him and her. Yakuza, mutants or an entire island's worth of criminals, it makes no difference to him. But her father isn't the only one with plans for Mariko, and Logan has no idea what he's really walking into. Can one mutant with a healing factor take on an entire country's underworld?
